I've tried putting the Word files on the local C: drive. I've tried doing it with new and old Word Docs. I've tried the. Nothing has worked. This seems like a really basic function for Adobe. And it worked flawlessly before all this started.

Jul 16, · Acrobat would not merge files with a filename longer than a certain amount of characters. I shortened the file names to a few characters and it worked fine. (3) In terms of your original issue, the combining of files within Acrobat DC, since this isn't a known general issue, it would probably make sense for you to contact Adobe Support directly.
