I am facing a problem wherein Dates are not updating for successors when a predecessor task is marked as complete. My task setup is as follows: Microsoft project 2016 predecessors not working free No. If I change microsoft project 2016 predecessors not working free duration or the predecessor, it updates the Start Dates and Finish Dates of successive tasks. If you have tasks which are not truly, ruly, predecessors, then don't link them. I know it is tempting, but it is a poor modeling practice because it is not a good representation of your project.
Try resource, leveling options, instead of Reschedule to Available Date they are sort of the same thing anyway. There are a lot of possibilities in connection with the leveling, including the resolution and level by priority. I won't go into all of the details here.
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks Trevor for your reply. I found my answer at this url: Completed Future Tasks. You have also contributed on that page. Perhaps, you could not recollect it as it micrlsoft asked a little more than a year ago. I had searched with terms such as 'task complete no date update' but no answer was found. Finally using the term 'future completed task' did the trick. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
